The Role
We are seeking an experienced Inside Sales Manager to lead our inside sales team and drive revenue across our electrical distributor, rep agency, and contractor/ESCO channels. You will own the day-to-day sales engine — quoting, pipeline management, and account development — while coaching the team, tightening processes, and partnering with outside sales and operations to deliver a fast, reliable customer experience. This is a hybrid role combining in-office leadership with remote flexibility.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, coach, and develop the inside sales team — set goals, monitor performance, and run regular pipeline and quote reviews
- Own quote and bid workflow: prioritization, pricing accuracy, turnaround times, and win/loss follow-up
- Drive proactive outbound efforts to grow distributor branches, rep agency engagement, and contractor/ESCO accounts
- Manage escalations on pricing, availability, and delivery in coordination with operations and our six distribution centers
- Partner with territory sales managers and rep agencies to ensure seamless inside/outside coverage of key accounts
- Build and refine CRM processes; maintain accurate pipeline, forecast, and activity reporting for leadership
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, gaps, and growth opportunities across products and channels
- Develop onboarding and product training for new inside sales hires
- Recruit and interview inside sales candidates as the team grows
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of inside sales experience with 2+ years leading a team — lighting, electrical, or building products industry strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of the lighting distribution channel: electrical distributors, rep agencies, contractors, and ESCOs
- Track record of hitting revenue targets and improving quote-to-order conversion
- Strong coaching and performance management skills; leads by example on the phones
- Technical aptitude — able to learn a deep product catalog, spec sheets, DLC listings, and utility rebate programs
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office; comfortable building reports and dashboards
- Organized, process-driven, and calm under high quote volume
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required with relevant experience
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary $75,000–$95,000 plus team performance bonus (on-target earnings $95,000–$120,000)
