The Role
We are seeking a driven Territory Sales Manager to own revenue growth across the US. You will lead sales strategy and execution in your territory — managing manufacturer rep agencies, growing electrical distributor partnerships, and developing contractor and ESCO businesses. This is a possible field-based remote role with significant travel throughout the territory.
What You’ll Do
- Own the territory sales plan and deliver on assigned revenue and growth targets
- Manage, motivate, and develop the independent rep agency network — including product training, pricing support, quoting, and joint sales calls
- Build and deepen relationships with electrical distributors, from branch counter to corporate accounts
- Develop project business with electrical contractors, ESCOs, and lighting maintenance companies
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, emerging markets, and underserved geographies within the territory
- Manage project quotes and pricing in coordination with inside sales and leadership
- Leverage DLC listings and utility rebate programs to position ATG products in retrofit projects
- Represent ATG at trade shows, counter days, agency meetings, and customer trainings
- Track pipeline, forecasts, and account activity in CRM and report on territory performance
What You’ll Bring
- 3–5+ years of outside sales experience in the lighting industry (or closely related electrical/building products), with a demonstrated track record of results
- Established relationships with rep agencies and/or electrical distributors strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of the lighting distribution channel: agencies, distributors, contractors, ESCOs, and spec-driven project sales
- Technical aptitude — comfortable with product specifications, photometrics, DLC qualifications, and utility rebate programs
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-directed and organized; able to manage a multi-state territory independently
- Willingness to travel extensively within the territory (50%+), with a valid driver’s license
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems; Bachelor’s degree preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary $90,000–$120,000 plus commission/bonus, commensurate with experience
